Having set ourselves the challenge of regaining a place in the Big Bang Fair Competition Finals, we were delighted to requalify with a refined and enhanced version of our products - not to mention our new ones too! You can read all about our experiences below.
Having had the opportunity to visit before, we jumped at the chance of visiting again, and like last year, it was yet another unforgettable experience. At the fair, we were able to speak to many engineers, scientists and companies such as BAE Systems, JCB and Siemens and also had a look at some other interesting projects that were on display at the Big Bang Competition with hundreds of other projects both competing in the engineering and science category from across the UK. On Monday 12th March, we were invited to join BBC Radio Ulster presenters Noel Thompson and Joel Taggart on BBC's Good Morning Ulster to talk about the upcoming 2018 Big Bang Fair, and also our products. It was a great experience and we'd like to thank them for inviting us on air.

We've developed the website further and also began building an app, of which you can see screenshots on the page above. One of our main progressions so far is the Sponsor a Block scheme. This scheme will be integrated into our app and website to entice potential sponsors to help people across the world. You can also read about our other developments above.
We will be working on and adding additional developments to our Big Bang Fair page in the future so watch this space! On Monday 12th June, we attended Sentinus Young Innovators at The Big Bang Northern Ireland in the Ulster University, Jordanstown. The event proved to be highly successful as we claimed three awards. They were: The FM Environmental Award for the most environmentally aware product, a prize we retained from last years event. The next prize was The Northern Ireland Young Engineers Winners in the 11-14 age category, another prize we were involved in last year, however, last year we could only achieve runner-up, so this year, we went one better and won it! And finally, perhaps the most prestigious of the three, NI Young Engineers to attend The Big Bang Fair 2018, an event we previously visited in March 2017. Overall, the event was very rewarding as we received positive and constructive feedback from the judges so we now know where to work on for The Big Bang Fair 2018.
